But my mom finds them palatable...go figure! While you definitely wouldn't want to eat the whole bag...our holistic physician uses them for medicinal purposes and eats 6 a day himself. You can find plenty of info on the net regarding the health benefits as well as the risks. There's always something out there that's bound to kill you, just look at what's in our drinking water!

peeetie User	sweet apricot kernels contain no amygdalin - 2009/05/12 03:15 THe following article says that bitter apricot kernels contain high levels of amygdalin, while sweet apricot kernels contain none: http://pubs.acs.org/doi/abs/10.1021/jf00050a018 I'm guessing that TJ's isn't going to sell something dangerous.
