Re:Fig Cake w/Apricot Kernels = POISON - 2006/11/23 22:44 Gonna agree with elwood on this one! they aren't going to sell something that is poison! get a life and go live in a bubble!

Re:Fig Cake w/Apricot Kernels = POISON - 2006/11/29 05:12 The cost of placing a warning (don't eat this whole bag with your 6 friends or you're all dead) is likely much less than the benefit of not paying out 6 wrongful death settlements.

TJ should hire someone to google every ingredient in every new product.

Corn syrup kills more people daily than apricot kernels.

"corn syrup" +death

Re:Fig Cake w/Apricot Kernels = POISON - 2007/01/25 00:00 Just another opinion, but we actually have a bag of apricot kernels in our fridge. Personally, I think they taste nasty!!! But my mom finds them palatable...go figure! While you definitely wouldn't want to eat the whole bag...our holistic physician uses them for medicinal purposes and eats 6 a day himself. You can find plenty of info on the net regarding the health benefits as well as the risks. There's always something out there that's bound to kill you, just look at what's in our drinking water!

Re:Fig Cake w/Apricot Kernels = POISON - 2008/09/30 22:23 This has been fabulous reads. Kudos to the overly obsessive people out there. You certainly make the world *interesting* if nothing else.

sweet apricot kernels contain no amygdalin - 2009/05/12 03:15 THe following article says that bitter apricot kernels contain high levels of amygdalin, while sweet apricot kernels contain none:

I'm guessing that TJ's isn't going to sell something dangerous.
