potato_chip User	RI Store Opening?! - 2007/09/14 22:23 Sounds like the rumor mill is up and running strong for a TJ's to open in Warwick, Rhode Island. I've heard there is construction on Route 2 in Warwick, and it will be accross the street from a Denny's. Can anyone else confirm? I do not see an up-and-coming opening on TJ's main website for RI....?

I have driven by the location and there is a new building going up (it's the Lowe's, Denny's, optometrist's(?) office plaza on the corner of Rt. 2 and Rt. 3), but there is no signage on the construction fencing that says "X coming soon." I wish Trader Joe's corporate would confirm or deny this rumor. DD

markie_red User	Re:RI Store Opening?! - 2008/04/14 19:11 I was at the Framingham, MA TJ's on April 5th 2008. When the cashier asked why I was buying so much Chipotle Salsa, I told him my 45 minute ride to TJ's from the southwest meant I didn't get up to Framingham too often. He asked where I came from. Massachusetts close to Pawtucket RI. He gave it the "look around" to make sure it was safe to whisper to me.... was told "rumor has it that there's one going in in Warwick...." We'll have to see if it's closer AND sells alcohol. I do know RI sales tax is higher than MA. I'll keep checking back here. Cheers Markie
