Re:Working PT at TJ's - 2008/07/16 17:08 Good news Ruby, and best of luck. Been at TJs for four, and a half years PT, and still love it. I will agree that some of our fulltimers don't have the lleadersip skills that they should, but again that's learned, and not taught. If you get hired, try to learn from the part timers that have been there the longest. They usually have a good "lay of the land", and often know a lot of the regular customers better. Good luck, and for goodness sake have fun with it. Film first,I bleed D-76.

676! - 2008/07/17 18:37 thanks Zed. which store are you at?
just got back from the interview. I get SOOO nervous in interviews but this wasn't so bad. It was captain, first mate and another asst manager who interviewed me. I'm used to interviewing with one person, so this was intimidating at first but I think I was much more relaxed than i've been in other interviews, which is what i expected. I definitely forgot to mention a few things... wouldn't mind a second interview for that reason, but they said they'll give me a call either to hire me, want me in for a second interview, or decide not to hire me.
I made good friends with a part-timer who started just over a year ago, so I've asked her a lot about things. A year after I first applied at 676 I finally got an interview. That in itself is satisfying.

Re:676! - 2008/07/18 01:24 Good luck Ruby. Paul and his crew are fantastic, you'll learn alot. But wear you're running shoes as the pace is pretty quick.
