 funny smell for Fully Cooked Wild Rice?? - 2008/01/06 23:56 I bought a package of Fully Cooked Wild Rice last week for the first time. When I opened the package (I was following the microwave instructions), it smelled *sweet* and was damp. The damp part I could understand, since the rice is cooked, but the sweet smell was very unexpected. I would expect cooked wild rice to smell nutty. Does this mean that the rice is rancid/spoiled?

If anyone has used this product, please let me know what yours smelled like. Thanks!
