 TJ frozen fish items from China? - 2008/01/14 16:27 HI..how would I find out if the Frozen items I purchased are from China?

I am at work so I dont have the products on hand.
I purchased the Stuffed Flounder with Crabmeat.

 Re:TJ frozen fish items from China? - 2008/01/14 22:00 As of 1/1/08, you won't find anything on Trader Joe's shelves that was manufactured/grown/processed/packaged in China. In other words, TJ's is done with China.

 Re:TJ frozen fish items from China? - 2008/01/18 04:07 JAJ, I need to revise my initial comment in this thread, as I just got some updated info (In my initial post, I was going off what I heard last Fall).

Here's the deal:

* Due to overwhelming feedback from customers, TJ's is no longer carrying food items labeled "Made in China."

* That said, there are still a few food items on the shelves that were made in China. Once these items sell out, they will not be re-ordered. TJ's says these few items are absolutely safe; i.e., they have as much confidence in these items as they do any of their other products.

* Trader Joe's will still stock non-food items made in China (non-food items include pet food).

That's it.
