Re:From the mouth of a TJ's employee - 2008/02/29 05:36 If you're so unhappy with your job and the company that you've been hired to represent, then I suggest you find meaningful work in another environment and relinquish your position to someone like me, who would LOVE to be part of the Trader Joe's family.

Re:From the mouth of a TJ's employee - 2008/03/01 02:43 I just recently had my first experience shopping at Trader Joe's...and I can guarantee the person who wrote this is NOT an employee of the location where I shopped.

Every employee I saw and spoke with was pleasant, friendly, and helpful. While I agree there are many items I can find locally (I drove 45 minutes to get to my nearest Trader Joe's) I'd be going to twelve different stores to get them. Also, I did stick with purchasing the "unique" items-not things like milk and eggs. I got 100 bucks worth of food, and out of all the fun, different choices I made, my husband and I didn't care for only one item (dried rambutan.) Also found a few things that, alone, would have been worth the trip.

Awesome selection, GREAT prices, and really...a terrific staff of people who seemed to enjoy being there. The writer of that review really needs to get a life.

Re:From the mouth of a TJ's employee - 2008/03/01 21:28 Amen SuzyQ. Some people were just not ment to be in the customer service field, and should get a job somewhere else. But I think it's going to be pretty difficult to find one with the benefits, and pay raises that we crew members are eligible for. I also read something recently saying that people are getting sick of the lousy experiance at some retailers (the big ones specialy) and are more than willing to pay a few cents more for a freindlier enviroment. So at TJs they're getting the best of both worlds. Good prices, and nice people that work there. I still love to get a first timer in my store, and watch their reaction to our joking, and helping. Oh, and maybe just a little flirting too. Film first,I bleed D-76.

Re:From the mouth of a TJ's employee - 2008/03/23 04:01 I work at store 83 in Concord Ca. I hope to God the posting by 12 to 9 is a hoax and he is really not out there engaging any of our beloved customers!! That thought horrifies me!! TJs customers are awesome and the cream of the crop! How could you not love the people who in addition to putting food on your table, Also adore you and make you feel so special and appreciated? I dont take any of this lightly. Being employed by Trader Joes is a privlidge in my opinion. Anyone I witness disrespecting MY customers will most definetly wish they hadnt!!!
