 Re:2008 Store Openings - Continued - 2008/06/19 18:17 I am moving Redding, CA store opening to first quarter 2009. TJ's is having licensing issues with the city, so the building has not started being built. The present opening date estimate is February or March 2008.

 Re:2008 Store Openings - Continued - 2008/07/07 13:39 I live right around the corner from where the Richmond, VA Trader Joe's is going to be (thank God!) and they put up a "Trader Joe's Coming Soon" banner a couple weeks ago.

The building has been complete for quite some time (Petco and multiple other stores starting opening at the end of last year) so it's just a matter of getting the inside ready.

I know construction guys work hard, but I really wish they'd hurry up! :)

 Re:2008 Store Openings - Continued - 2008/07/09 18:18 Trader Joe's website has added Williamsburg, Virginia as a new store location in the Coming Soon section. I have added the same to this list.

There has been very little info on the store. A rumor from a blog back in 2006 that store will open in Settler Market. Another blog post that it will open in September 2008. Nothing official other that posted on TJ's website.

 Re:2008 Store Openings - Continued - 2008/07/11 01:12 Trader Joe's website Coming Soon section has added that it will open the store in Pinole, California July 11.

This opening is a surprise. There is no visible hiring announcements and no fans or officials blogging about the opening.

The announcement was made awhile ago. But there was no date, so I assume it would be later than sooner. I put it in 2009 Store Openings. From this article,

The store will open in September 2008. It is actually in San Jose proper, not in Cupertino, on Bollinger Road.

I also moved Oak Park, CA store open back from 2009 listing to 2008 listing. On July 14, Trader Joe's website was searching for a artist in preparation for opening of the store.
