Canneles de Bourdeux - 2008/08/18 22:42 These have got to be one of the best pastries ever! So habit-forming they may need to be scheduled by the DEA. I like them best still slightly frozen.

Re:Canneles de Bourdeux - 2008/08/20 04:33 I couldn't agree more!! Addictive... I love the bruleed aspect of the outer um, shell(?) but some coworkers thought it was too burny tasting. Perfect for me. And I too like them right out of the freezer. They aren't frozen through, more soft and custardy even with little to no sitting time.

Also, I wouldn't classify them as strictly dessert, maybe as one might have a donut or toaster pastry as a morning treat or after school/work snack, a cannele could fit that category.
